The Studio For The Healing Arts is the creative vision of David Gordon, Ph.D. and Dani Vedros LCSW, psychotherapists who offer MindBodySpirit therapy and Dream Work at their office in historic Ghent at 1611-D Colley Avenue Norfolk, VA 23517. David and Dani's work is based on their recognition of the presence of natural healing resources within each person. The Studio's large loft space is a venue for presentations, workshops and classes offered by community experts on topics related to multi-cultural healing and spiritual practices such as shamanism, Kabala and western mystic tradition as well as yoga classes. In addition a monthly discussion group, The Second Saturday Salon, is provided as a community service. Salon discussions have focused on wide-ranging topics including political issues, the changing nature of intimate relationships, the impact of fear in our daily lives, mystical experience, the nature of consciousness, and "things that push our buttons". The Studio offers several Dream Groups which utilize material from David's recently published book, Mindful Dreaming: A Practical Guide for Emotional Healing

Friends of the Occoquan is a non-profit organization of local citizens who preserve and maintain the natural integrity of the Occoquan River and other Virginia watersheds by promoting community awareness through public and private partnerships.

Zaghareet Magazine began as a belly dance trade publication but has evolved into a Middle Eastern arts and culture magazine. It is named for the zaghareet, the joyous sound heard at happy events such as homecomings, weddings, and parties throughout the Middle East. In addition to Zaghareet Magazine's great feature articles on dancers, troupes, music, musicians and personal experiences of professional development, it includes travel articles, reviews on books, music, videos, and events that relate to Middle Eastern culture. The magazine isn't just about the famous dancers; it's also about ... YOU!
